I gave my mother a hanging basket of fuchsias for her 90th birthday recently. I noticed the refined detail in the flowers which reminded me of dancers. I photographed them, so that they would be a constant reminder of my mother, as she was known to like a dance or two in her younger days. Not much detail needed to be added to resemble her activity. The solo flower forms the perfect shape for a solo performer, the ballerina is here on stage, under the spotlight for her final bow. This became "Fuchsias Finale"
