I gave my mother a hanging basket of fuchsias for her 90th birthday recently. I noticed the refined detail in the flowers which reminded me of dancers. I photographed them, so that they would be a constant reminder of my mother, as she was known to like a dance or two in her younger days. "Frolicking fuchsias" was the first name that came mind. Not much detail needed to be added to resemble their activity. The solo flower forms the perfect shape for a solo performer the ballerina is here on stage, under the spotlight for her final bow. This became "Fuchsias Finale"
