Splitting firewood can be surprising and rewarding. This piece revealed startling colours and imposing image of a person with a colourful fur coat and hood. The addition of some detail in the face, gloves, boots and buttons on the coat completed the work. The partnering piece also revealed an image, this time that of a lady. She looked like a lady walking through the stage curtains, therefore called Lady takes the stage".
