This artwork is a set up of dried leaves from a oriental lily. They were placed on a sheet of butter paper and photographed under low winter sunlight. The shadows assist with the 3-dimensionality of the characters. Even the texture of the paper created an interesting background. It was these shadows that inspired the composition. Using my mouse on the computer I added the detail to bring this otherwise still life, to life!
