Outback marathon down under with sun

The colours of a large gum tree along the side of the road caught my attention. On closer inspection I realised the texture and colour was amazing. Again I photographed this as the sunlight was very atmospheric.Viewing it on the computer and pressing the enhance button, these realistic Aussie outback colours came to life. The length of the mark in the tree lent itself to a long panorama landscape.  As there were many little markings on the tree I made these into little marathon runners. The addition of the small leaning gazebo blowing in the wind, was actually the control point on the marathon. This imaginary scene  is a memory of our own trips to the outback and being involved with remote car rallies such as the "australian safari"
